This translation has used Liddell and Scott’s Greek-English Lexicon consistently as the standard for translation.  This is a general Greek-English lexicon.  Presumably this lexicon strives to indicate what the average koine Greek-speaking person on the street would understand Greek words to mean in the first century A.D.  Presumably theological nuances that may have come to be associated with certain words over the centuries would not have crept in yet.

   This translation has used Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary as the standard for definitions in English, so that, if a reader wants to find the definition of an English word in this translation, he might know where to look to see what definitions the translator was using.
